What Is “It’s Called Football”?
It’s Called Football/ICF is a soccer community and recreational league in New York City. We organize Men’s and Women’s Divisions for clubs, friends, and individuals to register to compete in seasonal leagues.
Additionally, we host pickups, tournaments, and community events to all soccer enthusiasts.
How Many Games Are In a League?
Players should expect to play 8 regular season games + playoffs. Games are held weekly at the allotted day and time you register for.
How Many Players Allowed per Team?
Outdoor 7v7 league typically has a limit of 10 players. Indoor 5v5 has a limit of 8 players.
Does ICF Provide Jerseys?
Registration to our league includes jerseys distributed on Week 1. All teams must wear their official league jerseys to every game. We offer customization to place your team logo on the chest for an additional fee.
What Surfaces Does ICF Play On?
We play on artificial turf for Outdoor Soccer. We play on indoor basketball courts for Futsal.
Not Enough Players On Game Day?
Team Captains are responsible for finding substitutions or forfeiting. Forfeits are not fair to your opponent and will face penalty. In some cases, we may be able to help arrange guest players. Alert the league 24 hours before kickoff.
Will Weather Affect a Game?
We play rain or shine. Games will only be cancelled in case of severe weather conditions.
Do You Offer Pickup Soccer?
We offer pickup games through our WhatsApp community group. Once you join, we post daily pickups at our fields.
